Abstract
It is thanks to the implementation of the Japanese corporate culture model that Toyota has become one of the world's leading automotive companies, gaining recognition for the quality of its products and for its innovation in production and management. Thus, the Japanese management style plays an important role in shaping the concept of corporate culture in organisations. It is based on such important principles as collectivism, long-term planning, respect for people, collective responsibility, staff training, improvement of the workplace, production process, management, customer relations, and everything around. These ‘secrets of success’ help to create an atmosphere of cohesion and cooperation in the organisation, as well as increase employee motivation, productivity and loyalty. As a result, the Japanese management model creates a sustainable long-term development of companies.
