Abstract
The process of the diffusion-driven coalescence in binary alloys has been considered for "large" volume fractions of the new phase. A simple "short-range order" model of coalescence taking into account the correlations between neighbor particles has been proposed. The evolution of the particle size distribution has been investigated by using the parameters which characterize the width, sharpness, and slope of a peak.
